Kelvedon Hatch 0 v 4 Chelmsford City 'A'

Cold and blustery seems to become a regular feature in the match reports these days . City traveled to their farthest opponents Kelvedon Hatch . The first half kicked off with City playing their familiar 1-4-1 formation with Callum Blanks again leading the line . City kept posession well and tried hard to forge out chances but the conditions seemed to be making the ball heavy and difficult to pass and cross , a few goalscoring chances were made but it was a single well worked team effort scored by Harrison French which took City into the break leading 1-0 .
After a change of shirts to avoid a colour clash City kicked off the second half with a new attacking formation of 1-3-2 . There would be a lot of pressure on forwards Callum and Ben to work together as a pair and justify playing both together . After a dodgy start City got back to form with some wonderful interchanges and with goals from Ben Tufnell (2) and a Thomas Clayton penalty City stretched their lead to 4-0 . Isaac Campbell remained strong and alert in defence to stop any possible Kelvedon reply and passed the ball well when he had the chance .
Man of the match . Ben Tufnell , some wonderful play with Callum and two well taken goals . Special mention to Isaac Campbell , Oliver Holmes , Thomas Clayton and Callum Blanks . This latest clean sheet marks the teams 7th out of the first 10 league games . Well done lads , as long as the other team doesn't score we have a great chance of winning
