Chelmsford City Clarets 1 v 1 Chelmsford City Whites

Sunshine and a large crowd greeted both teams for the first derby of the season . The Whites started quickly and put the Clarets under early pressure . However it was the Clarets who opened the scoring after just 62 seconds with a well struck Marley Okosi strike into the top corner leaving the Whites keeper no chance at all . The Clarets kept up the pressure but seemed to lack their normal composure in front of goal either shooting early or just missing out on a final pass through . The Whites seemed content to try and catch the Clarets out on the break and struck long passes which were dealt with well by Oliver Holmes and Lewis Tregent playing an unfamiliar Defensive midfield role . The white opportunity to equalise came from the penalty spot due to a handball . This they converted well to take the score at half time to 1 - 1 .
The second half was a frantic affair which was a credit to Chelmsford City , Both teams playing a good hard but fair game with some wonderful long strikes by the Clarets and the Whites attempting again to score on the break . The Whites keeper pulling off a couple of great saves to keep his team in the game . The end of the match came with the same score of 1 - 1 .
