Chelmsford City Youth Football Club Under 9 Clarets

Not much to report since my last entry . So instead of writing on the past i'll take an opportunity to write about the future . As you cannot fail to have noticed we have been joined at training over the past couple of weeks by two new faces , Harrison and Liam . Both experienced players in their own rights having played previously for Writtle Minors and Ravens respectively . Both have come to us in the hope to take up the vacancy in the team left by Lewis's departure . I have to say both have been superb in training so far , fitting in well and showing some deft touches . I can see that our team is going to be as strong as ever in the new season , and maybe even stronger . Our tournament now is nearly at touching distance , it will be my last training session with you this friday before i dont see you all again until Tournament day , Mick and Mark will be in charge of the build up but we will be in constant contact so best behaviour as always . I will be off on a scouting mission into Norfolk , ive heard there are some very good young players there who would love to wear the clarets badge , the fact that this just happens to fall upon our family holiday is neither here nor there , we need to keep this quiet so i can claim the expenses from Mr Chairman ! !

We are currently drafting a new 'code of conduct' for the players next season . As the boys are growing older then things will have to slowly change and become slightly more disiplined , dont worry nothing too drastic just small adjustments here and there , more of this in the following blogs
