Chelmsford City Youth FC Under 9 Clarets

So with the sunshine blazing down , not a cloud in the sky and temperatures over 20deg we approach our 'mini tournament' on Saturday . We will be welcoming Ongar Juniors , Galleywood and Wilvale Ranger to fortress Fox Burrows Lane for what should be a mini soccer feast , each team participating gets the ball down and plays superb football encouraged all the way by a friendly crowd . And this is mainly what we hope to bring to the event , friendly football for all the boys to enjoy played in front of a larger crowd than normal who will cheer on each team as one . Please remember to bring plenty of fluids for not only the players but yourselves as well , we do have toilet facilities at Writtle and we will be doing all we can to ensure that all the players get plenty of fluids onboard before , during and after every match . There will be the usual raffles , but with more prizes , and a penalty shoot out contest for brothers , sisters , mums , dads uncles and aunties to take part in . However the rumour that this is merely a scouting post for a place in next seasons team is unfortunately untrue . The Tournament games themselves will only be 5 minute halves but the matches are coming thick and fast , we will be using both pitches so expect some walking about . At the end of the day , estimated to be between 12:30 and 13:00hrs there will be no winners or losers just lots and lots of tired young footballers who should sleep well come the evening .
Our next event will be the Maldon Town Tournament on May 24th , at present i dont have any new details to give you but hopefully by my next blog i should have had the information pack in the post .
